Wow, I finally got down to figuring out this template thing.
Ive been so out of it that I dont even know how XML works and just stuck to the old editor, good ole html.

I got my birthday presents today (my birthday was in Feb) but as Mon Lupine put it, I'm hard to buy for.

His initial plan was to get my one of those instanx cameras but at $125 a pop, I thought if it was better if he kept the money for another time.

So in the end we went to Sunflower, this shop at Farrer Park and loaded up on a ton of goodies. I love this shop because they are focused on providing a selection of handmade, unique, eco-friendly and socially conscious products. This includes hand made items from local designs as well as items brought in which are sold and the profits returned to the creators. They've got bags from Nepal, moss pets from Japan, crafts from Cambodia, handmade totes and accessories..not all of them are strictly for non-profit reasons but alot of thought has been put into the selection avaliable.

We emerged from the shop a bit crazed and with 2 finger puppets from Cambodia Crafts, a stuffed toy named Rhubarb made out of dress scraps and a genuine leather journal.

These finger puppets are supposed to help the poorer communities in Cambodia by enabling them with skills to make handicrafts to sell to raise funds. They are too shallow for my fingers so I've put them on my new OPI nailpolish tops.

This is Rhubarb. He's a stuffed toy made out of scraps from dresses and clothes. We saw him on the shelf and he was just so sad looking that we had to have him.

The most practical purchase of the lot, this handmade leather notebook comes with a genuine leather cover and high quality recycled paper pages.

Okay, funny story about the finger puppets, i wanted one simply because they are hella cute and because they would go to a good cause. I wanted the blue dog but its ripped at the bottom and decided on the brown one instead. But after we left the shop, i started feeling bad cause no one else is gonna buy the ripped puppet and it's not only going to go to waste but there's going to be 1 puppet worth less of funds for Cambodia Crafts.

So well, we went back into the shop and liberated it. We sound fucking mental, just wait til I put up pictures of these things.

Yes, we've named them all.
No, i will not be bringing them around like a certain girl we mock.
Yes I feel kind of ashamed but so happy that now on my desk sits two finger puppets on my new OPI nailpolish, a sad looking stuffed toy and a new book for me to put writing down in.

Okay enough buffy for the night, im off to bed.
