Vietnam Baby!

If all goes well (and i say this because I'm still really worried that Jasmine's dad will nix our trip even though its only 3 days away)

I've never been to Vietnam before, I've heard its super busy and such cultural which is good because following that Jasmine and I will proceed to erase that culture with SHOPPING in Bangkok. Speaking of which, election results are out and the red shirts won. I don't know if that means there'll be no fighting because I've always had the impression that they were the ones that seem to be more volatile. ( I know I'm probably wrong or something but I'm really too lazy to google right now)

Since I've never been to Vietnam before my eyes and ears have been Dora, Gladys and Tripadvisor.com. By the way, I really friggin love Tripadvisor.com, nothing I've used from there has let me down so far so I hope it doesnt start with this trip.

Anyways I'm digressing, we've booked a room via email at Bich Duyen and manager Chanh sounds like a great guy. Its a tiny hostel with like 12 rooms but it seems to be super popular with travellers. The room to be honest looks quite thread-bare but as Jasmine says "we how resilient leh" We'll see.

We've also (at the advice of Dora) booked a city tour with Saigon Hotpot which is a group of uni students who bring tourists around Ho Chin Minh for free in exchange of practicing their English.

I've heard that HCM is a mess of people and motorcycle which I have to admit I don't know if I'll enjoy but you know what, BRING IT ON!

There'll be museums to see, tunnels to view, war history to learn, temples to explore, an amazing looking church to view, pho to eat, markets to walk around in...what else can I ask for.

Update again when I'm back!
