I just travelled 1hr and 45 mins to go for dinner at Su's even though she isn't in Singapore. And it really just struck me that I really love my close friends (and boyfriend) and their families so much.

My dad has no siblings and my mum is the oldest of 5 children. The aunt I'm closest to lives in Canberra. I am the oldest grandchild and the rest of my cousins are 17 and younger. My sister is 5 years younger than me.

My point in this little lesson in lee/stewart history is that when you think about it, this means I actually have very little immediate family to rely on.

My mum always tells me that when I grow up, I will have to depend on friends if I ever need help. Which is why I always feel so blessed to have friends who are not only always there for me, but whose families treat me as if I'm one of their own.

From dinners during special occasions like Christmas or deepavali to casual movie or gossip sessions.

I thank all my friends and their families for always being warm and gracious to me and treating me so much as one of their own that they can make fun of me. That they include me in special dinners and ask about my life.

I am not usually so sentimental but it amazes me that apart from my family who I love, it is possible to meet friends who care for you enough that their families do too.

This is honestly the way to live life; making irreplaceable bonds and amazing friends.

 LOVE YOU ALL!
