 | | What we did in paradise (Part 3)Wednesday, December 7, 2011 @ 2:23 PM PERMALINK

We woke up to Brendan whipping up a storm in the kitchen. We had a feast for breakfast; creamy scrambled eggs, french toast, cereal, bacon and juice. Yum

After breakfast, we took to the waterfall again.

Nothing compares to swimming around in the waterfall pools. You can dip your feet in the water and get a free foot massage from the river fish, watch damsel flies fly around, swim, jump off the launch rock..its amazing.

After a whole day of swimming and chilling out, we changed and got ready to head out for dinner. This time, we were going to drive down to the nearby fishing village to fill our tummies.

We loaded into the van and started our journey down. On our way there, we came across a night market being set up.

 Stalls just being set up

Love the yellow of the van against the blue sky

Giving in to the temptation of Penang Laska - RM 1

Hoping that the night market would still be around on our trip back, we left to catch the sunset on the beach.

The beach is neither the cleanest nor the most picture perfect but locals still flock to the beach to view the sunset and a sunset anywhere is a beautiful thing to watch.

We got there with just enough time to get a couple of drinks while waiting for the sun to make way for the moon

After watching the sunset, we set off for our dinner location.

We ate at a small family owned place in the heart of the fishing village. We had a hard time ordering because of the language barrier. Even though all of us are Chinese or part Chinese our knowledge of the language is pathetic and the people that live in Kedah normally speak Hokkien (which makes things even harder), We muddled our way through anyways and ended up with a feast.

(For them at least, my hunger was satisfied by tofu and prawn paste chicken, which was awesumz anyways)

After dinner we headed back to the night market where things were in full swing.

There was $1 milo from the milo van of our childhood, cheap sunnies and watches, a ton of awesome food ; beehoon soup, AMAZING cupcorn , apum...and everything was so cheap. The locals were also super nice to us and tried to make conversation. I guess they don't get many people from out of town visiting.

Final part: Our last day in Penang and my first time being delayed at an airport
