| The heart wants what the heart wants that doesn't mean it's right.

Every day I see people I know carrying their share of heart-ache.
I watch as friends or friends of friends struggle to recover from break-ups and goodbyes.
We re-tell their stories as cautionary tales to our own friends or even to ourselves.
Today, I watched as two very funny and intellegent (and some say pretty attractive) individuals tip-toed around each other as they have been doing for years of their lives. I too (excluding the funny, intellegent and attractive bit) have been in this position and I remember how it feels.
Every step that wouldn't be a mis-step if trodden by someone else is a foolishly placed foot if its a step taken by either party. Tempers build up over the smallest things, remarks get blown out of proportion and feelings get hurt.
I want so badly to just hug the girl in question and tell her "Choose the love that makes you happy. Move on and you'll find there's more to life than eggshells. Sometimes you need to be away for awhile to finally get along."
But we are more colleagues than friends and more supper buddies than girl pals and its really not my place, so all I can muster is "No seriously, why are you both always so grumpy toward each other?"
It really does make me sad and my heart goes out to them because living like this must not be easy.
I hope they both find the happiness and love they deserve and the same goes for anyone else in this situtation.
