[Woven Notebook from Kariton, $18, Neon Pink luggage tag from MRKT $5, Death Cab Concert T, priceless cause it was a hell expensive birthday gift from Jordan (awww) ]
This weekend, Ale and I went to the MAAD market at Red Dot Museum and shopped our hearts out. More her than me. MAAD is always full of great artists and its a great place to see that Singapore is not as devoid of talent as we think it is.
Before going shopping, we went for hot yoga at Real Yoga. It was pretty good and super challenging. I've done one normal temperature yoga class before and didn't really enjoy it cause I felt like it was too slow for me. I loved the Bikram classes I tried cause of how intense they were but $30 a lesson is just too steep for my pockets.
Friday's hot yoga class was a nice balance, it is not as intense as Bikram, so it gives you the time to concentrate but because the room is heated, it also makes holding the poses seem like more work and my body really needs that - to feel like its doing something.
Real Yoga is a nice small studio where the sales staff is informative and not too pushy. They want honest answers to their questions and don't make false promises. I've got 3 classes left and I intend to fully make use of them.
Urgh, need to job to continue doing yoga.
Birthday cakes for the 21 year olds
I went for Jordan, Ian and Mel's 21st birthday party yesterday. TWENTY FIRST!
I'm so old, its not even funny. As all 21st birthdays always go, there was alot of drinking (from Ian) and alot of puking that followed (from Ian)
The rest of us just drank champagne (actually, thats just me), chilled and talked until 430am. I wish I took more pictures but as usual, I don't cause I'm so lazy all the time.
In other news, I've been watching the Coachella live stream, Bon Iver is playing now and they are amazing. I don't even know how they are getting their vocals to harmonize like that live. Too unreal.
Alright, off to work soon (sadly) so I'll be missing Radiohead.Labels: birthdays, MAAD |
