It's been awhile hasn't it

It has been quite awhile hasn't it? What's changed in the past month..?

My probation period at work has ended. I'm officially 3 months into a full time job. Adult style commitment dude. This also means that I can start planning for a holiday (Finally!)

I've finally gotten my ass in drive and decided to do something about all that volunteering I wanted to do. After being given an unplanned replacement off day that coincided with Transient Workers Count Too's monthly information session, I'm proud to say that I've finally gotten my foot into the door to start helping out. (The alternative new-ager in me says it is all about the Universe lining up)

My monthly splurge (Yes, there is always a monthly splurge. Two months ago, it was way too expensive skincare serum, the month after that ; My sister's medical bills..) was a fifth generation Kindle. I know I'm really late to the Kindle party but I'm really loving it. I've been devouring book after book.  I just wish Amazon made it possible for the international market to buy legal content.

I caught (and read) Perks of Being a Wallflower and regardless of how over hyped and 'hipster' alot of people think it is, I actually really liked it. I even liked it way more than (gasp!) Looking for Alaska.

Also, after one of those late night talks with Jasmine (who is back from Melbourne for a week) I've also decided that if writing is what I want to do eventually, it is (again) time for me to make use of my free time trying to develop a portfolio.

Writing and travel ; I really don't know what I could love more.
Maybe flowers. I do like flowers.
& Mon Lapin.

There is still a looming grey cloud of uncertainty thanks to a certain parental and while I'm trying to make the best of it, I still feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Nonetheless! More positive energy, less negative energy.

I'm off to be productive. Hugs and otter whiskers for all.
