At 17 years old, I was working part time at nights to earn extra spending money for myself. My mum gave me $10 a day for lunch/dinner and everything else. I never took a cent from her for personal expenses (school stuff not withstanding and mostly I paid all the bits and pieces by myself too)

I didn't do a very good job of saving that money of course. A lot of it went to taxis and stupid things like clothes I didnt really like and stuff like that. Looking back, I wish I knew the importance of money and how to save it. I would have been quite a rich kid then.

So it really annoys me when my kid sister, who is 17 this year spends all our family's money without a care in the world. Today, my mum gave her $10 and she called when she was out and demanded we transfer her another $20 because she needed to watch a movie. I'm not stupid, its a weekday, she doesnt need $30 to watch a movie. But of course my mum disagrees and asks me to transfer it to her.

My sister also smokes so I really don't like financing that we are financing her cigarette habits. Cigarettes here at $10+ a box and if you don't have the income to finance such an expensive and hazardous habit, DONT.

I'm fed up with my sister's view on money and my mother's enabling. My mum needs to wake the hell up and realise that giving her money when she should be out there earning her own is making life harder for us.

My sister is too lazy to get a job because she wants her weekends to be for fun since she 'deserves it' for studying. I don't see why since she's rubbish at her school work anyways.

My sister also owns $189 Nike shoes, I've never owned a pair of $100 shoes by the way. This shows that she's ALREADY getting cash from my dad.

I work 4 out of 7 days a week, including Sunday and I give almost (sometimes more than) 20% of my money to my mother and its really disgusting to see that go to financing my sister's immaturity.

 IM SO PISSED OFF
